The EPSS (Exploit Prediction Scoring System) score is used to calculate the exploitability of a vulnerability. This score is established and maintained by FIRST and may therefore fluctuate from day to day depending on the organization’s context. It complements the CVSS score to provide an even more detailed analysis of vulnerabilities. The score is expressed as a percentage, ranging from 0% to 100%.
In the IKare solution, the vulnerability management screen displays a graph highlighting the distribution of the most critical vulnerabilities that need to be addressed: those with the highest CVSS scores and the highest EPSS percentages.
